Grade 8 Graduation!

Wednesday, June 25th
7:00 p.m. (grads arrive at 6:30 p.m. to get organized)
Dunsford Community Centre

As hard as it is to believe, Grade 8 Graduation is just around the corner! This year’s graduation again takes place at the Dunsford Community Centre. Students should aim to arrive at 6:30 p.m. as this gives the grade 8 staff enough time to organize everyone. The ceremony will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. and usually lasts until about 8:30 p.m.. The graduation dance takes place immediately following the ceremony in the downstairs of the community centre. Do not forget that it is a tradition for each grad to dance with a parent for first dance.

This is one of the most important dates in the school calendar (probably the most important if you are a grade 8) as it marks the end of your elementary school career and the beginning of your secondary school career. The DDES staff certainly looks forward to it each year!

Grade 8 parents should have received a letter that went home already. The letter outlined the suggested dress code for this evening and other relevant information. Should this letter have not gone home or you have additional questions, please feel free to contact the office.

We are looking forward to the evening and especially looking forward to seeing the graduates all “gussied” up in dresses, shirts and ties!
