Local Author Series @ the Public Library Two more author presentations will be featured in the fall session of the City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library’s Local Author Series. This series of presentations gives local authors an opportunity to share their writing experiences and books with their readers. We encourage everyone to join us to learn more about the authors and their work. Ann Louise Smith’s book “Canadian Missionary POW on the Death Railway: The World War II story of Walter G. Anderson, M.D.” is the result of months of researching the collection of her late uncle who was a missionary, doctor and POW during the Burma campaign. She will speak at the Lindsay Library on Thursday, November 8 at 7 pm. On Tuesday, November 13 at 2 pm at the Bethany Library Janet Stobie, inspirational speaker, storyteller and author of 4 books for adults and children will speak. Her books include “A Place Called Home”, “Spectacular Stella”, “Can I Hold Him”, and “A Child Speaks”. Information regarding the winter season of the Local Author Series will be available soon.
