On Friday October 29th, Big Brothers, Big Sisters; along with the John Howard Society and the Learning Disabilities Association, is hosting a Pumpkin carving and children’s/youth event from 3:30-6:00 at the Lindsay Armoury.
Activities include pumpkin decorating and carving, face painting, video dancing, a limbo competition and a table full of Halloween puzzles and games. Prizes will be awarded in both the carving and crafting categories; all materials excluding the pumpkins will be supplied free of charge. Participants can bring their own pumpkin or
purchase one that afternoon at the Armoury for $5
***Schools and individual classes are also invited to participate in a special category of the competition! Carved pumpkins may be dropped off at the Lindsay Armory anytime from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on October 29 with final judging and awards to occur between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.
Judges for the “Carve Off” include our very own Mayor Ric McGee and Lindsay Posts’ Katherine Whitnall to name just a couple!
