March Break Art Camp

March 12– 16, 2012

For Ages 7-13

Monday, March 12— Drawing Principles and Scratch Art with Artist Kelly Albin


Students will learn techniques and principles which will assist them with all of their future artistic creations.

Tuesday, March 13 — Acrylic Painting and Chalk Pastels with Artist Kelly Albin

Using the drawing principles, students will explore the use of paint and pastels to create their own masterpiece!

Wednesday, March 14—Introduction to Graphic Design with Artist Roberta Ward

Students will learn the principles of design such as balance, emphasis, unity and harmony.

Thursday March 15—Self Portraits with Artist Courtney Jeffrey

Using a variety of different mediums including paint, collage, sculpture, students will explore the multiple perspectives and possibilities of how we can express, give meaning, and see ourselves and each other using art and our creativity.

Friday, March 16th—Morning—Soapstone Carving with Artist Peter Martin

Students will learn how to finish a pre-cut piece of stone into a beautiful home décor sculpture.

Friday, March 16th—Afternoon—Art Show featuring Artwork created during the week, 3:30pm

Parents and Grandparents are invited. Each student will take home their week’s artwork at the end of the art show.
